A time when nature ripens and the sun reaches its peak, yet it carries a quiet reminder of transience—the inevitable shift toward autumn. Let us savour the present moment, for summer, like water between our fingers, will slip away no matter how tightly we try to hold it.

On May 23, we invite you to welcome summer early with a sensory seven-course “Metamorphosis of Summer” dinner under the open sky. Each course will reflect a distinct sensory transformation of summer:

The earthy petrichor after rainfall, evoked by the scent of geosmin. Haystacks reminiscent of Claude Monet’s paintings, glimpsed from the A1 highway en route to the sea. The crackle of storms and lightning, releasing the sharp scent of ozone into the air. And before the sun sets, a dessert moment where you’ll be invited to dip your fingers in sea water—and eat with your hands.

This special dinner, celebrating the birthdays of Kaunas and Bōheme House restaurant, will take place outdoors in a secret location. Where exactly? We won’t reveal it in advance—we’ll meet you at the doors of Bōheme House and guide you to your table.

Let this summer be long and abundant. Before the dinner, local “Universities of Muitinės Street” will offer guided tours and walks through century-old buildings for locals and visitors alike. Meanwhile, little guests will be welcomed with creative and educational workshops.
