On the occasion of the closing of the highly acclaimed “Pasaka. Childhood in Lithuania During the Late Soviet Era” exhibition at the Kaunas Picture Gallery, Bōheme House restaurant will, for the second time in its history, serve a unique experience – a time-traveling journey to breakfast in the late Soviet era.

On July 26th, we invite you to experience it one last time, as the exhibition "Pasaka. Childhood in Lithuania During the Late Soviet Era” comes to an end. Childhood favorites will be transformed into modern gastronomic discoveries, inviting you to relive childlike joys—like smashing lavender stained-glass sugar and licking plates clean.

This is an invitation to reflect on how simple things become part of our identity—and how they can be rediscovered from a different, more mature perspective. These are not just breakfast dishes: every bite is a modern interpretation of memory, opening up a meaningful dialogue between past and present.

Before sitting down at the breakfast table—surrounded by the scenographic “Pasaka" stained-glass installation—we’ll awaken childhood memories during a private guided tour of the exhibition.

Pasaka. Childhood in Lithuania During the Late Soviet Era” leads us through contrasting childhood recollections. From a concrete high-rise district to a small unknown town, from a repressive system to imagination-fueling art—this exhibition encompasses the full spectrum of childhood in the late Soviet period. It spans and transforms all three floors of the Picture Gallery.
